Hold it. HOLD it. hold it!

I try not to sound more knowledgable than I really am.
But I get very very Very annoyed every time I see someone holding a DSLR incorrectly. I get even more annoyed when I see someone holding a DSLR incorrectly and assume that they automatically look more professional with that equipment.

A DSLR is not a point-and-shoot digicam. Every DSLR should be treated with an acceptable level of respect, even Olympus ones. Use two hands to operate it. Don't flip it around to take FB self-portaits.
If you want to hold a DSLR,
1) place your right index finger over the shoot button
2) Support the camera body and lense with your left hand.
3)Place your eye against the view-finder, sling around your neck.
