Wow. POTC is Deep.

its frickin 1+ am, I was sleeping when this dawned upon me. I swear, everything just clicked together.
Okay, remember Commodore james Norrington from POTC 1?
When Will Turner made a sword for James Norrington as a presentation of his promotion. James Norrington, After recieving the sword, requested for Elizabeth's Swann's hand in marriage.
At the end of POTC 1, James used the sword as an analogy to tell Will to take good care of Elizabeth. So he keeps the sword, and looses the girl. The sword symbolises his duties and chivalric code.
However in POTC 2, Commodore is thrown out of duty as he AWOLS from Lord Beckett. (who wants to arrest him). During such a time, he abandoned his sword. As such, his loss of duty and honor is reflected as he losses possession of his sword. Along with it, he behaves rowdy and even treacherous. He even betrays Jack and crew for the sake of his job.
Finally, we see him again in POTC 3 with much pose and regained dignity. Lord Beckett presents him his sword again. Once again, as Admiral Norrington, he shows redemptive features of himself in his sacrifice for Elizabeth. In his dying burst, he stabs Davy Jones with his ceremonial sword. Metaphorically, his chivalry is back and is able to commit the ultimate sacrifice.
If that isn't enough, Davy jones used Norrington's sword to impale Will towards the end. The very object that indirectly connected Will to Elizabeth and to the whole Pirate saga, the very object of Will's creation is now the cause of his death. Talk about pre-planned destiny. its 0130. I feel incoherent and wasted.
