Apparently, many of my friends are not taking POTC3 too well. Many of them are complaining over the fact that Singapore was not accurately portayed. The followings are their arguements.
1) Singapore was a British colony under the East India Company (EIC) , why is it so mystical?
2) Singapore was mostly Malay in ethnic during the colonial times, where the hell are the non-chinese in the village?
3)Singapore was not known as Singapore until 1963, before which was known as 'Singapura'.
4)Steam baths really loose their exotic appeal if they were really located in the humid, sticky, sweaty tropics of Singapore.

But we forgot one thing.
How historically accurate could a movie, which has a bad guy with an octopus for a head, be?
